I'm sorry to disappoint you, but this entry is still not the photo story of my Japan trip. I'm so goddamn totally S-W-A-M-P-E-D at work. I broke down twice in 2 weeks and this was all within 1 month after my Japan holiday, when I'm suppose to feel all merry & filled with mirth still.
Imagine having 3-hour long discussion with your boss in her room, and when you thought the meeting is about to end, your boss suggests to have a lunch meeting (to discuss more about work) and that so-called lunch meeting only took place at 4pm. Of course, that was the time I had my lunch. In between the room discussion and the lunch meeting, I churned out 2 artwork with my boss watching me from behind. And when the whole meeting thing ended, it was 5pm. Work was nowhere near done. I left office at 9pm that day.
A brand new day starts and the madness begins. I left office by 7.30pm, but I worked from home till 2.30am. I report to work again the next day, slightly before 8am. Start working like a hamster running on wheels again before the morning meeting starts at 9am. 15 minutes before the meeting, got called in to my boss' room to have another discussion, followed by the morning meeting. I tried to breathe and went for early lunch. War began at 2pm. I was going in & out of my boss' room. And at 5.30pm when everyone was packing up to go home, I went into my boss' room again. This time, the discussion lasted about 2 hours. I only left her room at around 7.45pm when I got back to my cubicle, only 1 colleague was left and it's because she was waiting for me for dinner.
We had aimed to leave office by 6pm (it's a freaking Friday for goodness sake!), have dinner and meet another 2 for drinks at 9pm. But I only left at around 8.45pm and I told my colleague to go first because another friend was waiting for us. I felt bad making 2 people wait for me, so I chased 1 away to go meet the other. My boss came by at around 8pm and chased me home. But I just wanted to get the work cleared and out of the way.
That was about how my work week had been. Does it sound like I have anytime for anything else? Go figure which were the 2 occasions where I broke down.
