I'm home. After 5 nights in Beijing, I'm back. Realised the lack of exclaimation marks? I'm not exactly excited to be home.
I'm glad to be back home, but I'm missing Beijing like hell! I miss the wonderfully good weather. Imagine having air-con 24/7 even when you're outdoors under the sun. Beijing's of total opposite from us here in Singapore. We get all sweaty outdoors & the air-con blasts when we step indoors. Over at Beijing, indoors are much warmer than outdoors. I don't think they even switch on the air-conditioning system inside the shopping malls. Even back in the hotel room, the temperature of the air-con is set at a default of 20 degrees. No joke. No matter how many times I try to adjust it to 16 degrees, it jumps back to the default temperature. And so, we sleep with the windows opened instead. But it gets freezing cold in the morning & at night. If I'm not wrong, one night's temperature was only about 8 degrees. Brrrrr!
Another thing I miss about Beijing is my tour guide. I didn't quite like her when I first saw her, but she gets more & more adorable each day. She's extremely knowledgeable in China history & damn bloody talkative. Hahahaha! I kinda miss her voice & her jokes now. =(
This trip's pure sight-seeing for me & I learnt a great deal from my tour guide. You won't believe me but I bought NOTHING for myself. Shopping's not that fantastic there. Xiu Shui & Ya Xiu is frigging boring. We didn't had time to shop around Wang Fu Jing either. My parents bought a great deal of stuffs though. From tea leaves to TCM to jade pillows. I'm amazed. LOL!
No photos yet, coz I'm damn lazy to upload them. Nothing as scenic as my previous trip to Krabi & Phuket. All typical tourists photos this time round. It's rather hard to capture Beijing in arty farty mood actually. Attractions are filled with swarms of people & they kinda spoil picture framing sometimes.
Not in the mood to write about what I've done daily now. Another day perhaps. I shall continue to reminisce on my trip before I drag myelf back to work on Sunday. Yes, I'm working this bloody Sunday. How exciting.
Sigh! I miss Beijing!
