Man and Cat. No, this is not part 4 of Tony Parson's "Man and XXX" book series, but 2 things that started & ended my day.
Dragged myself outta bed yesterday for work (yes, I was working on Boxing Day when all the post x'mas sales are going on in town. &%*#$@?!) & being sleepy, I was grumpy. And of all days, I hafta meet this weird cranky old man that stays in the same block as me. Not only is he cranky, he's condescending too. Though I've never spoken a word to him, the way he looks at me sometimes just irks me. And he looked at me the same way yesterday morning.
Took the lift down without realising it's actually going up instead of down. (Pardon me lah! Haven't wake up.) The lift door opened at the 12th floor, and damn! I saw the old man standing there. I avoided eye contact with him but as he stood beside me in the lift, my side eyes saw him staring at me from top to toe. Hentai! I wasn't wearing anything near skimpy. Just a black tee & 3/4 pants. That few seconds felt like a zillion years. I wanted so much to just kick his ass. Sorry for being so evil towards the elderly. BUT I JUST CANNOT STAND HIM & THE AIR OF ARROGANCE AROUND HIM! Grrrr! Anyhow, he took the lift to the 5th floor & went out. Weird.
Now, the stupid cat that scared the wits outta me just now. Finally got home at around 12am++ With my supper in my hand, and quick light steps, I just can't wait to get home. As I made my way towards my unit, this stupid black cat dashed out of nowhere into the middle of the dim corridor. I'm not exactly scared of cats, but I simply hate the way they intrude people. There had been 2 incidents where the damn cat (not sure if it's the same one) came into my house through my living-room window. Innocent me was just heading to the kitchen to pee & I had to be scared like that. That was the worst encounter I had & after the cat brushed past me out of the window, I stood jelly-fied for some good 10 seconds.
At times like these, I wish I have a dog. A white West Highland Terrier that I'll name Pepper. =]
