I think I'm one weird shopper. I control my buyings when things are like freakingly dirt cheap. But I throw out my cash like nobody's business when the prices are like sky-high.
For example, my mates were absolutely surprised at my controlled shopping at Bangkok. They were sneering at me while we were still in Singapore, saying that I'll prolly shop till I flip. And that they better help me keep some of my cash with them just in case I've got no money left to get back to Singapore. After 4 days & 3 nights, they were the ones that had to exchange extra baht for their shoppings when I still have 2000++ baht with me.
I did shop while I was in Bangkok, but somehow not as much as I would in Singapore. Maybe the things in Bangkok just didn't quite catch my eyes. Plus the pressure from baggage limit & limited lugging power from within, I only bought like 3 pairs of slippers, 1 pair of shoes, a few earrings & rings, a couple (I really lost count) of T-shirts, some lingerie & small gifts & snacks for give-aways (so that's not quite counted as my shopping).
In comparison, I spent like 200-odd bucks on shopping & dinner this afternoon/evening. I whipped out $147.25 on accessories alone in this Japan-themed jewellery boutique, Fie Japan. $17.20 on dinner at Sakae Sushi & another $45.90 on 2 Japanese drama set. I'm totally amazed by myself. Absolutely & utterly. After all that heart-wrenching expenditure, I received the nicest consolation ever from my colleague, "C'mon! Just take it as a nice treat for yourself! Afterall, pay just came in what!" Yah, but...I thought I just indulged myself in a nice vacation at Bangkok?!
P/S: This site will not be updated as regularly as before. I'm currently working on a new site — which is scheduled to be launched soon. I hope. (LOL! I speak like I'm some professional site developer.) Anyway, this site will stay for sure. The new site's just one made out of my passion for that particular subject. You can easily guess what that is. Stay tuned! ;)
