Remember how exhilarated I was when I managed to get an one-for-one exchange at Creative for my mp3 player that got soaked in water about 2 weeks ago? Remember the whines (about the torturous journey to the west) that came with it? Well, prepare for more. Looks like I might have to pack my load for another journey to the west.
I was fiddling with the player in my Dad's car this morning when he sent me to the MRT station. I was just scrolling the tracks to the song I wanna hear on the train later on. Everything was fine until I got on to the train. I pressed the play button a couple of times but the player stayed asleep. I kinda panicked & took out the player for a closer examination. To my sheer horror, I saw a crack at the battery compartment area. Because of the chipped edge, the little "door" for the battery compartment cannot be closed & thus, power cannot be detected. I wanted so much to listen to Lee Hom's new album (I'm addicted to the album recently. It's on repeat loop on both my mp3 player & computer. If a guy were to sing Forever Love to me now, I'll prolly marry him. Hahahaha! Anyhow...) & so I took out a rubber-band from my pouch & tied up my player so that the "door" can be shut completely. You can imagine how unglam that was.
Anyway, I gave Creative a call as soon as I got to office & told them about the defect. They agreed to do an exchange for me again & asked me to bring the player down once more. I'm not too sure if the guy on the line understood what I said or maybe it's just Creative's policy that as long as a player is still under warranty, there can be an unlimited number of exchanges. Let's just hope so that's the case. The thought of spending 2hrs++ travelling to & fro again deters me from getting my player exchanged. Maybe I should just live with it since I've taped the "door" up, making it look less ugly. At the same time, I'm tempted once more to get ipod mini.
Apple has got some deals lined up for my company. Employees get discount when they login to this special online store Apple set up for us. The U.P. for mini (4GB) is S$348 & if I were to buy under my company's name, it costs S$320. 28 bucks less. Which is rather pathetic. BUT, if I were to get my MuVo Slim exchanged, I'm prolly gonna sell it away at $180. (I bought it at $219) Which means I only hafta pay S$140! Which is still quite an ok price for me. But since I'm gonna get it exchanged before I sell it, I might as well just stick to it.
Sigh! I'm one indecisive bitch.
P/S: Starhub's connection sucks big time tonight. And I thought they just upgraded my modem connection speed?!?
