My neck hurts - coz I just typed a 700-odd words article with the phone "held" between my cheeks & shoulders. My heart aches - coz I couldn't get hold of my new phone today.
The Neck "Jerking" Story
My colleague was sent to Phuket this afternoon to do the tsunami story of course & because all the networks are down, the story couldn't be sent in to us via email. I had to call him & he had to dictate the whole story to me on the phone. And the story turned out to be 705 words full. I tried switching the position of the phone from my left to right, but the new pose was hindering my typing speed. So, I was stucked in the cramps-prone position for almost 20 minutes. I'm surprised I still can type this now. AND YES! I'M STILL IN THE OFFICE! *WAILS*
How My Heart Broke
After making the tough decision between the angel or devil phone, I made a trip down to this M1 shop in Seng Kang with my Dad. He had to come with me coz my phone line is under his name. (I was under 21 when I first signed for a mobile line, so he had to be the account-holder instead.) Anyhow, to my expectations, the phone is outta stock at the Seng Kang M1 shop. Okay never mind. Me and my Dad then proceeded to the M1 Customer Service Centre to switch the name of the account holder, from his to mine. No one was quite willing to serve us although the whole place was quite empty. I wonder why. Maybe it's the menacing look on my first after knowing the fact that my n7610 is outta stock.
We were attended to after 15 minutes or so. After the lady checked the records, she said I have to pay a penalty of 250 bucks if I were to transfer the account now. $250!!!! That's like almost half of the price of n7610. Her reason being, my 2 years contract will only expire on 30 July next year. After which, I will be able to do a transfer at a charge of $40.
So yeah! Me & my dad spent the whole morning running here & there getting nothing done. Well done. Anyway, I left my name at the Seng Kang M1 shop to reserve a set of n7610. Being kiasu, I went to the M1 shop near my workplace & left my name with them as well. According to the customer service officer at Change Alley, the stock will come in tomorrow! So yeah! Wish me good luck please! In the mean time, I'll be going the M1 shop at Paragon, Ngee Ann City, West Mall, Tampines Mall, Parco Bugis Junction, United Square, Cold Storage Causeway Point, Parkway Parade, The Majestic, Sun Plaza, and Cold Storage Northpoint to leave down my name for a reservation for the phone.
P/S: To all potential buyers going Compass Point & Change Alley M1 Shop, THAT SILVER-GREY NOKIA 7610 IS MINE! DON'T YOU DARE BUY IT BEFORE I DO. GRRR!
