After 3 days of leave & a weekend, (that's like a total of 5 non-working days) I finally got back to work today. Before my dead brain could adapt to the pace again, my day just ended like how my leave did - way too fast.

Got into office, only to find my table in a mess. My desk is like a second pantry to everyone. It's nearest to the exit & also the most accessible desk along the common walkway. Urgh! But one good thing is, it's the furthest desk away from my boss. Besides the mess to clear on my desk, tons of emails were waiting in my inbox. A few good hundreds of them. Mainly money collectors collecting money for the birthday gifts I chipped in. Or rather, I was included through an invitation I never knew exists.

I hereby quote a colleague of mine, "I dunno why, but maybe I'm too friendly to everyone. They always ask me if I wanna share the birthday gifts for so & so, who & who..." Not that I mind. They are all lovely people I love dearly, but throwing out cash like that everyday is hurting to the pocket. I hereby quote another colleague, "Why are we cutting cake everyday?!" Yes. My workplace's overloaded with year-end babies. We are practically cutting birthday cakes everyday!!!! And that's like only for the editorial team. Anyhow, just a rant or two. No hard feelings. I still love birthdays. The cakes, the surprises, the hugs, the tears (ocassionally) & sincere smiles & laughters.

Anyway...you guys really gotta get the Jack Jack hp-holder from McDonald's. The cute thing utters baby gibberish whenever radiation is detected. So damn friggin' cute! I tried to get 2 with one EVM but they said I can't. =( McDonald's breakfast, lunch & dinner anyone?
