Oh dear me! I actually forgot my Mum's birthday. It was Friday, 5th Nov. Look what weeks of late shift has done to me. Basically, I think I live alone whenever I'm on late shift. By the time I get home, (which is around half-past midnight) everyone's asleep in my household & by the time I wake up the next day at around 10:30am, everyone's out for work. Did I ever mention how no-life that is? Anyhow, I'll be having dinner next Saturday with my parents, bro & sis-in-law. Some sort like a 2-in-1 dinner. For Mum's & my birthday. Economic eh? =P Let's see...where should we go? The decision lies in me for sure...*smirks*
If only Mum knows more about Internet. I'm that sorry little chick-look-alike hen...
Thanks to Stin, the one-dollar tissue song is stuck in my head. C'mon sing with me, "One dollar! One dollar! Auntie, uncle, xiao-jie, xiao-mei bang wo mai tissue hao ma?" Sing it 10 times. Congrats. You're part of the gang now.
OX is back to normal now, complete with gleeful smiles & exuberant laughter. But sigh....my best friend (at work) is not. She's on 1 week MC & 3 days leave thereafter. Heard she was looking for me last Tuesday, which happened to be my off day. Haven't been able to catch up with her because of the clashes in our timings. By the time she gets back, I've already scooted off. Wan Wan, you must get well & get your butt back to the office for our small 'lil night-time chat!
"It is because the human spirit knows, deep down, that all lives intersect. That death doesn't just take someone, it misses someone else, and in the small distance between being taken and being missed, lives are changed."
~ Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet in Heaven
Take care, Auntie Lena.
