"I LOVE YOU!" - Something I wanna shout to all my mates & buddies in the newsroom. (At least for the 14 people that made me mirth & feel so loved today.)
Celebrated my first birthday at my workplace today. (As in, it's the first birthday I'm celebrating there.) It's an advance celebration, so don't start sending me love notes saying "Happy Birthday!" =P First birthday there, plus it's my 21st. As usual, everyone commented how friggin' young I am & blah...They just had to remind me I'm the baby of the newsroom. Anyhow, I'm really touched & happy. Happiest birthday so far actually. Had so many people singing birthday song for me & a extremely huge confetti popping above my head. After which, I had a taste of what's called growing up - clearing up the mess made. Nasty Nak requested that I should be scheduled for work this coming Sunday - be a real (mature) adult. And I thought I'm suppose to be the baby (still)?!
Here's what I got...
A lovely bouquet of sunflower, with my favourite baby's breathe. Swatch vouchers (I bought my Uniflor with my colleague & I casually mentioned to her, I'm gonna get another watch when payday comes. And they actually bought my the vouchers! How sweet...A nice pastel-tone card filled with all the "ooh-you-are-only-21" greetings. No, I'm not pissed this time round, too blissful to be. Of course a nice brownie cake which is in prolly digested in everyone's tummy.
Once again, a big, giantic, huge, enormous thank you to all my darlings! Wawa, Rina, Jas, Ros, Shanthi, Dodo, SW, Nak, Mu, Val, Jaime, Jeanine, Ritchie, Raz (whose birthday was just celebrated yesterday. Basically, we've been cutting cake for the past 3 consecutive days in the newsroom. Lotsa year-end babies.) Love ya all! *splats wet smooch all over*
