I'm so goddamn tired! My legs are aching like never before! This just shows the amount of exercise I've been doing. Went ECP (It's East Coast Park & not Electric Road Pricing mind you) with my colleagues today. We went cycling! Just as I was suggesting that we should go cycling one day on Friday evening, my colleagues chirped happily that we should go today coz that "someday" will never come unless we act NOW. See what gungho colleagues I have.
And surprisingly, the weather is exceptionally good this afternoon. A couple of other colleagues were laughing at us when we said we're gonna go cycling at 1pm in the afternoon. Laugh all you want, Dodo, Shan & Nicoll Wong (In case you're wondering why the hell is someone having the same name as Nicoll Highway, well, I gave my colleague that nickname. You see, she's the reporter that has been covering the Nicoll Highway trials & since she has got no so-called christian name, I decided to call her Nicoll Wong! *smirks proudly* She's now affectionately known as Nicoll Wong in the newsroom. Special thanks to yours truly.) See, people! Heaven dotes on us, 3 ladies. Anyway, we met lotsa weird people at the park/beach today. I'll just talk about one (complete with pictures!)
We returned our bike to the rental station at about 3:15pm & feeling damn tired, we sat near the bike station to stone. Then, this teenage girl in heels & black dress caught my eye. The same thing went through my mind like it prolly did in yours. Why the fuck will someone wear heels & dress to ECP?! The best part is, she rented a bike & she was trying to get onto to the bike in the "safest" possible way. And boy was the whole procedure hilarious.
Then, I started to comment on the appropriate attire one should be in when they're engaging in sports activities. Just as I was talking about it with my colleagues, this lady in a pink dress was struggling to get onto the tracks in her blades. (No pictures for this. I was too shocked for words). Like WTF?! Pink spaghetti-strap dress?! It's not a sun-dress, may I remind you. It's a friggin' pink floral skirt. The kind working executives wear to work with a black cardigan over it. (Typical eh?) Now, when we were about to leave the bike station, a couple cycled back & lady on the 2nd seat of the 2-seater bike is in a friggin' spaghetti-strap short dress as well!!!! Argh! What the hell is wrong with these people? They need a dressing down. Literally.
I took a whole lot of photos, & I've hand-picked 3 of them here...
Nothing fancy. But I love the footprint shot! It took me 10 over shots just to get one with the correct mood. The waves just kept washing my footprints away. @*&^%$#?! It isn't exactly a good place & time for nice photoshoots. Too bloody crowded. I'll prolly head down again on one of my weekday off days...
Ok hang in there, I'm ending this post soon. I MUST post this before I forget. Anyone knows where to get badminton rackets re-stringed? Mine broke the last time I played =( The racket has been with me since I was secondary 1, it bears sentimental value & so I wanna get it back on working condition again. And what's the market price? One of the sporting shop near my place is charging me friggin' 18 bucks! Let me know pleaseeeee? Need to get it fixed asap. Here's something for you as a token of appreciation. On your speakers. This thing is damn hilarious! (Let me know if the link is not working. I'll gladly send you the clip. It's that good.)
