I know this topic is damn passe now, but still, I'm gonna write about it. It's gonna be short. I promise.
Yeah you got it. The big black out. To those that were not affected, damn you! And to those who suffered, it's all over! It's a good experience afterall. Try to make the best out of the worst situation lah! =P
I dozed off in the living room sofa while watching the news that night. I heard some commotion & so I woke up, asking why Mum & Dad switched the TV, fan & lights off when I still wanna watch my programmes. They ignored me & so I sat up & realised okaaaay blackout! The first thing that came into my mind is to call the newsroom! (Dedicated/loyal worker eh?) I zoomed off to my room, picked up my hp & gave jas (who's on late shift) a call. She seemed pretty calm & so I thought ok, nothing major maybe. It's just my area afterall (That's what I thought till Bro called & say his area - Jurong is having some major blackout as well). I was damn exhilarated at first (never experienced blackout before mah =P Maybe I did back in my Tampines old home, but I was too young to remember.)
We couldn't find torch lights so Dad lit some candles. Having stuck in darkness for almost 2 hours (I think my area is the last area to get all electricity restored back. According to the news release we received, electricity was fully restored back at 11:58pm & that was when I saw lights resurrected in my area), I took some photos. Here's one (the nicest one).
Some stupid arrogant freak pissed the hell out of me in the newsroom today. Big time arsehole! Not hated by 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 (or maybe more!) peeps in the newsroom. I'm gonna let that person spoil my long weekend. (Not working on Friday, Saturday & Sunday! I truly deserve it. Been working non-stop since last Sunday) He/she will get his/her retribution. I strongly belive in karma. What goes round comes round. And yah, my stupid colleague had to forward my email (containing rather sarcastic comments about that person) to my editors & to that 'protagonist' as well. *slaps forehead* He did it by mistake I guess. When replying & forwarding, he placed lots more people under the CC column without realising lots more will read my comments on that person as well. Urgh!
