Can't believe my precious off day just went by like that. Did nothing. No retail therapy, no window shopping, no stepping out of my neighbourhood. Wasted my off day just like that...Anyway I needed this good, tranquil break for both my body & mind as well as my pocket. Pay day is about 13 10 days away still.... (25th is a Sunday, so pay day is brought forward to Friday! *grins*)
See the snapped pixxie over there? Yes. I bought tamagotchi connexion (supposedly the 2nd generation)...Before you start to slap your forehead & ask why a smart, mature (yet cute), pretty, popular and...(ok enough) working adult like me would buy something which obviously belongs that of a kindergarten kid, SHUT UP! I wish to hear no more of that crap. I think I have the utmost right to spend my money on whatever I fancy? -shrugs- Anyway, there's a long story behind the 2 gadgets which further confirmed the curse I have with electronic products. Jinxed! I'm jinxed!
Bought the pink one first at Takashimaya. It was the last one on the display rack, feeling goddamn lucky & happy, I bought it of course. Didn't get to play with it till I got home after work last Thursday night. Pulled the magic tab & the cute thing went alive! After 5 minutes, the graphics turned blur & faded off slowly...Bingo! I got a faulty tamagotchi. I PAID A STINKING $29.95 FOR A FUCKING FAULTY TAMAGOTCHI! Feeling so blinking pissed & sad, I went back to Taka the next day & asked for an exchange. They did agree but sway-est of all sway, the pink ones are all SOLD OUT! Mai wan le, buay wan liao, no more, zero, mei you. So, I left my name with them & they promised me they'll call me back once the next shipment comes in. (God knows when.) And because I couldn't resist the temptation, or simply because I cannot wait, I bought another blue one from Compass Point, Kiddy Palace! =P Still waiting for Taka to call me though. But I can't help but have qualms about the whole damn thing. The pink ones are REALLY hot & selling out fast...*sigh* CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE ME CALL (of hope, happiness & joy!), TAKASHIMAYA?!
As I'm waiting, I'm tempted to buy a pink one from somewhere else. Slap me will ya?
