It's good to have pleasant surprises in life once in a while. Bumping into your friend on the streets at the least expected places & time. Seeing familiar faces as you flip through your favourite magazine on hand. Picking up a 2-dollar note admist the green field you'll pass-by everyday.
Though I very much wish the last item will happen to me, (It's been a long while since I picked up money on the streets =x) The earlier two are sweet enough for me now.
Was dragging my feets to my favourite entrance at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station when I spotted someone friggin' familiar. I gave her extra glances & made sure I really got the right person. (We didn't meet up for ages afterall. The last one was during Sebast's farewell session. I wonder how's he doing in Thailand...that gu niang. Hahahahaha!) My eyes weren't playing tricks on me. It's Ying. That's right. You see, I was taking NEL home after work & Ying lives in the western part of Singapore so it's not quite possible to see her at the NEL station at like 11.30pm on a Sunday. (Here you go, the least expected time & place element.)
Although the journey's short, we really had a nice chat. Been a long time since I felt so comfortable with someone. All those ra-ra thingies are making me sick. I haven't been talking much to people these days I realised (well, except at work of course. But I don't quite consider that talking. That's business talk. Talking for the sake of talking.) *shrugs*
I picked up a copy of U-weekly the other day & as I flipped through the pages, someone caught my eye. "OMG! Is that Maddie? My fellow music-freak MD, Yuling????" That girl looks so pretty in that photo. Extremely different from her usual slack look. The power of make-up. I'm glad UFM did something to her looks. Hahahahaha! =x Miss her dearly as well. Our late nights in RHW office back then. Occasional disputes when she gets so unreasonable. Frequent laughters through the mic in the conty. Mutual craze & passion over music. Bearing the same romantic thoughts when the non-aircon bus 74 swifts through Adam Road. Her birthday's in one. Though most probably I won't be celebrating with her, hey girl, Happy Birthday. You've been a strong one. Love ya! =]
Will always remember how the 3 of us bear the same passion for radio broadcasting & how I lost it along the way here because of some conceited & self-contain people. Now that you 2 got there, I'm truly happy for ya. We all found our forte didn't we? Hold that passion, (Ying, not passion fruit hoh! =P) don't lose it!
