Happy times always fly by fast doesn't it? Yeah, I'm back home from my overseas work trip. Thanks for the little "welcoming back", Stin. And the polite demand for pictures. Hahaha! But because I have about 250 photos to sort out, I've picked out my favourite 6 to satisfy some hungry eyes here. A photo collage will probably come later. I need to R&R (rot & rot) before I head back to work tomorrow. I gotta get myself outta the holiday mood man!

As I've said in the previous entry, this is a trip of many virgin attempts. First overseas work trip, first time I flew alone, first time I'm travelling alone, first time I slept in a hotel room alone, first time I fell sick overseas. I never knew I was this weak. But I swear it must be the terrible weather & maybe some food I ate. Moreover, I was already down with a little cold before flying off. A little summary of what happened will be all because I'm still a little giddy from the flight back. Damn clouds! So big & thick that it caused so much turbulence in the plane & the pilot had to make so many turns on the way back.

Day 1: Krabi greeted me with a rather heavy rain. The first time I see rain falling so close from the sky. Hahaha! Sua ku I know, but I've somehow hoped lightning can strike too so that I can see it too. =x Anyway, the first day was kinda burnt cause I took the 2pm flight & by the time everything was done, it was already evening, and I had to check-in to the hotel. Ahhh! The hotel, Pavilion Queen's Bay is simply gorgeous I tell you. I had the deluxe single room overlooking the sea with a queen-size bed & a balcony with a big wooden swing perfect for chilling out with a novel in one hand and a cuppa in the other. Too bad I didn't had time for that.

Day 2: Island tour! Spent half the day island hopping on speed-boat & basking under the sun. Visited Tub Island, Chicken Island, Koh Sia Island (for snorkelling), Poda Island (for swimming) and Railay Island (for rock climbing). Got back to mainland after lunch & went to one of the world's only three Fossil Cemetery. While the rest headed back to the hotel, I had my spa session in a really quaint looking Thai village house. I had the Swedish Massage & boy was it good.

Day 3: The 3 hours drive from Krabi to Phuket & also the day I fell sick & puked 3 times. Never mind the details. I'm lazy to type the details here anyway. Visited the Central Department Store in Phuket where I did foot massage for 300 Baht for some good 60 minutes. Finally managed to hang on till I got to the hotel, which was rather disappointing. From a 5-star hotel, it dropped to a 3-star one. It reminded me alot of Asia Hotel I stayed at in Bangkok, but thankfully better & cleaner. Headed for the Simon Cabaret show & I was trying hard to keep myself awake. Not because the show is boring, but I was down with fever. Got back to hotel, had a good bath, popped some pills & went to bed.

Day 4: One of the best days ever. Had a scenic drive along Patong Beach, Karon Beach, Kata Beach & stopped by Karon Viewpoint for some paranomic view of the beaches in Phuket. Then, drove right down to Siam Safari Tour for some monkey shows, coconut & Thai cooking demo & an elephant ride right into the rain forest! Had dinner at Phuket FantaSea & watched the very splendid & grand performance that is awarded the best attraction by the Phuket Tourism. It really lives up to its name. (I wonder how will our very own IR turn out to be actually.)

Day 5: 9am flight back to Singapore. And here I am, typing this extremely long entry that got deleted once coz my damn computer died on me after not touching it for 5 days. It just refuses to get back to work huh? Just like me.

If you're still reading this, thank you for your patience & interest. Now, I need to unpack & get myself into the working mood for tomorrow. SIGH!
