Bah! Writing this from work. Yawning as I'm typing, and counting down to knock-off at the same time. Approximately 4 hours to home sweet home. Heaps of work to be done actually. But I'm simply not in the mood to get working. Blame it on the it's-Sunday-and-I-am-suppose-to-slack-at-home mood.
Enough of procrastination talks. Now for some joyous, blissful & lovey dovey thoughts. Attended the one of the BEST wedding dinner I ever did last night. Food's besides the point. It was the wonderful crowd I had. For fellow mass commies reading this, we have yet another mate walk down the aisle yesterday. Our Miss Chua is now known as Mrs Lim. Congrats to Joanne & her hubby, Kenneth. I must admit, the holy matrimony was rather touching. The pastor who witnessed their wedding made several meaningful comments. The part about the 2 candles representing their seperate lives before this marriage & the lighting of the 3rd candle together (symbolising their new life together) while blowing out the 2 candles just made me went, "Awwwwww....". I've always got a thing for such ceremonies. I guess a girl's a girl afterall. Seeing such ceremonies will really send romantic thoughts to a girl's mind & make her mind wonder about her own wedding. Hmm...ahhh....*snaps back to reality* Okay! Moving on....
And now, for the highlight of the night — the wedding dinner. At a table of 9, sat myself, Angie, Anne, Diana, Josh, Bik, Sebast, Ying & Matt Chan. To MY greatest misfortune (I must emphasize it's MY!), I was seated next to Matt. Thanks to him (postively & negatively), my night was full of giggles, several chokings, multiple squabbles & occasional loud laughs that made the nearing tables cast irritated & condescending looks on us. But, who cares? It's a joyous occasion isn't it? Anyway, it was good to see everyone again after such a long time. (For some anti-social ones who haven't been too enthu with our meet-ups. Hahahah!) To joke, to laugh like never before & to sneer (at Matt only) just like in the past. Ahhhh! Reminiscing the good old times again.... *dabs cheeks with tissue*
Let's hope it's not long till we meet up again. And at whose wedding will it be? Hahahaha!
