Adieu Bangkok! Hello Singapore! Touched down at 10:50pm last night. Very ahead of schedule. But because of the horrendous queue at the duty free shop (Singaporeans are major alcoholics!) & the time spent searching for my blardy luggage frantically around the airport, I only got home at about 12:30am. Anyway, just a short one about what I did over at Bangkok. Pictures another time. I need to unpack first!
Day 1
1.) TR102 touched down at Don Muang Airport at 9.45am (Bangkok time)
2.) Checked into Asia Hotel (it's not haunted like what everyone else said. At least my room wasn't)
3.) Headed to MBK for lunch & shopping! (Spent the whole day there shopping + my wonderful SGD$10/hr foot massage!)
4.) Was too tired to go elsewhere & so dinner was settled at a restaurant near hotel.
Day 2
1.) Breakfast at Siam Square
2.) Went shopping Siam Center & Soi 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (which I suppose are lanes)
3.) Popped by Siam Discovery Center (It's very much like Wisma Atria. Not worth the trip)
4.) It was pouring when we got to Sala Daeng & so we headed Central for dinner at MK
5.) Headed for Suan Lam Night Market (Less crowded than any of the markets)
6.) Had supper at one of the pubs
7.) Got back to hotel at about 1am (Bangkok time)
Day 3
1.) Chatuchak Weekend Market! (Not as interesting as Siam Center)
2.) Headed back to hotel at around 3pm for a short break + bathe
3.) Dinner at Seafood Market near Emporium at Phrom Phong
3.) Patpong! (Went for one of the PingPong aka Thai-Ger shows. I must say it's pretty boring.)
Day 4
1.) Checked out of hotel at 10:30am
2.) Took a Tuk-tuk to MBK for brunch & last minute shopping
3.) Did one last foot massage
4.) Left MBK at 4pm
5.) Left for Don Muang Airport at 4:30pm
6.) Flight took off at 7:40pm (Bangkok time)
7.) TR117 arrived at Changi Airport at 10:50pm (Singapore time)
Places which we missed
1.) Grand Palace (we gave up sight-seeing for shopping)
2.) State Tower (something similar to Equinox)
3.) Pratunam Wholesale Market
4.) Chidlom's Cabbage & Condoms Restaurant
Sigh! It's barely 24 hours & I miss Bangkok & all the cheap buys already!
Now that I've conquered Bangkok, next on the list is Taipei! And perhaps, (my beloved) Tokyo with my colleague next year, if my pocket allows....Damn! I think I got addicted to travelling. And did I mention that I love taking the plane? Weeeeee~
