The "My-Boss-Is-On-Junket-Therefore-It's-Heaven" Day is withdrawn with immediate effect. It hasn't been cloud nine for last few days this week. In fact, I became much busier than before.
With 1 colleague down on leave at Medan doing voluntary work, and another on vacation and it's not exactly helpful when 1 more colleague is down with MC. My desk is basically strapped down to tonnes of this & that. Our first auction thingy just had to come around this time. Long story. In short, when press gifts come in, we have to "surrender" them up for auction for everyone in the office to bid for at a significant amount to which will be donated to the charities. Well, it's for a good cause, but people just fail to shut up.
On a lighter note, I just made (almost) everyone in the newsroom wanna whack me on Thursday. I was sharing my fair share of "Qian Bian Wen Da Ti" with my mates & that million dollar expression & "WTF?!" reaction from them makes me HIGH!
Start whacking here. My stupid blog's language coding has got some conflicts with the scripts & java blah blah blah...When Chinese characters viewing settings are enabled, some functions are not working & it's annoying. Anyhow, I'll gladly do a translation if anyone needs it.
One man's meat is another's poison. Don't blame me if you don't find them funny. It takes an open mind & a certain amount of tolerance towards lame-ility (read: lame minds) to be able to truly appreciate them. So, I urge all fellow Qian Bian mates to unite & widen our alliance. It's good to get lame once in awhile. Just once.
