I had this sudden thought while brushing my teeth earlier on. That's not the point I know. But it's funny how certain thoughts always pop into my head at the weirdest possible time ever. Not in anyway trying to start a battle of the sexes, but just an observation.
Male species don't read novels don't they? Just the other day my male colleague passed-by my work desk & he saw the book, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time I was reading. He asked me if it's a nice read & I said yes it is & that he can borrow the book after I'm done with it. He asked with caution if that's a girly kinda book. You know, tear-jerking romance. But I told him no & that I don't read girly books. Let's digress for awhile. That male colleague of mine likes to make baseless judgement on me. He thinks I watch porn. He thinks I read Playboy. (He offered to get some for me on his trip to Hong Kong.) He thinks I like Aaron Kwok kinda guy. He thinks I read girly books. Aren't they all total contradiction? Not pissed whatsoever. Just think it's cute & amusing. Anyhow, back to Men & novels.
My colleague started to mention how everyone he sees in the MRT is reading TCIOTDITNT. Now, think back....do you usually see guys read novels in the train? Or do you see more of magazines-reading & newspaper-reading men in the train? Isn't it the latter? If you haven't, start observing from now onwards. I mean seriously! I know very few guys who actually carry a novel with them all the time & take it out for a read as & when. I know more TNP & ST guys. Hahahahaha!
Well, maybe I haven't observe enough but, why? Perhaps I should start a poll & get the figures straighten out. Feel free to rebuke guys. Now, I'm really curious like Christopher in TCIOTDITNT.
Oh btw, my site meter went past the 4-digit count. Thanks everyone, for making that happen!
