Three words for Fahrenheit 9/11, overwhelming, engaging, witty. Thumbs-up! The best movie I've seen so far. It made me laugh heartily, as well as making me weep quietly in pain. Simply love the way the whole movie is edited. It's what I call - prodigy.
The movie kicks off with a black screen (don't be mistaken, it's not a black-out in the theatre) with only sounds from that horrible disaster - 911. The aim of the movie is clear. What you already know & have seen, will not be brought into your eyes again. (i.e. only sounds & no images when the World Trade Center collapsed) Things that have been hidden away, kept low about and even omitted for intended purposes will be presented.
I'll skip the major chunk of the movie (there were too many funny scenes. LOL!) The particular part about how it is the people that received less frm the country step out & volunteer for the military so that 'we' don't have to, left an impact in me, so did the snippets of innocent Iraqis, shots of dead US soldiers, and that victory grin on Bush. The realism of how Moore went to ask congress members to send their son to de miltary reflects de exact tinge of selfishness in everyone, you & me including. You won't wanna send your father, brother, husband, boyfriend or uncles to war don't you?
It's almost 30 hours ago when I watched the movie, but it still affects me like how I felt when the credits start to roll. Moore is a genius, a remarkably good one.
