The last person I wanna meet after a long day's work is a amateur taxi-driver who has difficulty deciphering road signs. It must be fate that made me met one tonight.
This cab driver saw me walking down from the escalator & immediately, he jammed on his brakes. Less than 1 minute after hopping on to the cab, I realised I made the wrong choice.
Me: "Hougang Ave 7"
Cab Driver: "Go by where faster?"
Me: "CTE. Ang Mo Kio"
CD: "Orh...here can turn anot ah?"
Me: (Shit! A driver who doesn't know the way) "uh yah can"
CD: "Sorry ah! I'm not very familiar"
Me: Oh it's ok! *smiles sweetly* (I'm in HIS car afterall)
CD: "Just knock off ah?"
Me: "Ah yah.."
CD: "So late? Work where? Eh...turn here issit?"
Me: "Huh? Don't think so"
CD: "You don't take cab one ah?"
Me: "I don't pay attention to the routes drivers take" - deciphered as "I pay cab-fares expecting the driver to know the correct way that'll take me to my intended destination"
Yes. You can predict the remaining conversation. Basically he went the long way (but strange enough, the cab fare's about the same as previous trips I took. Weird.)
Now, for some weather updates. According to IniQx Meteorological Weather Station, volcanic errupts can be sighted in the central areas of Singapore from Thursday onwards. We are unable to estimate the timings of erruptions accurately. However, please be fore-warned about sudden erruptions. The sun maybe sunny & all but please, sudden changes in the swing of the weather is inevitable. For the time-being, do look out for signs of erruptions. It's good to be prepared.
