Nicoll Highway - the most used word in papers these days. You should have heard. If you haven't, time for you to get out of that dark, murky hermit shell of yours.
I shall spare you from all the bombardment of the incident. I'm like turning mad in the newsroom. I worked from 8:15am till like almost 8pm non-stop! Except for 1 hour of lunch. I should be thankful that I can have the chance to get out of the newsroom to get my lunch. Poor Hwee Nak (the editor of TODAY) & Feiwan, (the journalist that was sent down to the site scene) I wonder if she's still there....of course, not forgetting the chaos with Lotus Notes & Outlook. You see, the whole of MediaCorp group decided to change the email system used. We were all using LN previously & all was well. Until the migration took place yesterday & today at the newsroom. The whole system was slow like hell & basically, I can't clear the releases from the news inbox & at this kinda crucial time, it's the utmost important thing to do. When the system got up, I cleared all the stuffs frantically. But new stuffs just keep coming in & in & in. I also had to communicate between Feiwan & Hwee Nak on the latest happenings on Nicoll. So basically, I'm the first person to receive news updates in the newsroom. Now how stress is that?
OKAY. Work aside. I just realised from my colleague that MediaCorp employee can get special corporate plans from starhub mobile. Hohohohohohoho! This increases the chances of me getting a new line & a new phone tremendously. Speaking of Starhub, their stupid maxonline network was down man! Half way through posting, I got disconnected. I restarted my comp like 10 times, walk up & down the living room & to my room to switch the modem on & off. If you think that's all, WRONG! I called the customer service hotline, 1633 & out of 20 times, I only manage to get through 5 times. & when I got through, I pressed '3' for maxonline service & all I get is fucking dead silence. Screwed service. I got damn desperate & I dialed the Mandarin service operator instead of the English one. And miraculously, when I did the F5 trick, my I.E loaded & I hang up immediately. Why? I doewanna waste my talktime. You must be thinking why the fuck is IniQx using a hp when she can jolly well use her house phone. MY HOUSE PHONE IS SPOILT! When I press '6' just once, it dails 6 times on it's own. Freaky. I'm glad it didn't get through to Satan or something. '6' six times. *gasps*
More to come in work tomorrow. Hopefully, Outlook will work well tomorrow. Cranky system leads to a cranky IniQx. I'm looking forward to next friday. IT'S PRESS HOLIDAY! When everyone's whining how a holiday is wasted when May Day falls on a Saturday, I'm having MY holiday! Muahahahaha! Every press holiday is a happy day.
